If you find yourself in Barcelona between the 11th and the 22nd of October there is something you cannot miss: the Oktoberfest! It has nothing to do with Spanish traditions, but it’s really fun and you can enjoy (lots of) German beer! There is live music with polka band and DJs, traditional Bavarian food and a festive atmosphere. If you have kids you can bring them along with you because there is also a children’s area. Do you need another reason to participate? The entrance is free! So get your (beer) belly ready and have some fun!
The inspiration for Barcelona's Oktoberfest is from the world’s largest fair: the Munich Oktoberfest, which first took place in 1810, to celebrate the royal wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig, later King Ludwig I, to Princess Therese of Bavaria.

If you are looking for an out of the ordinary experience in Barcelona, we recommend The «Old Charms» flea market, which is the biggest one in Barcelona. It’s a really interesting place to visit because of its mix of rubbish things and second-hand treasures such as antique furniture, clothes, books… The location of the market itself is worth a visit: you will find a modernist open-sided space, with a golden-hued canopy and reflective ceilings.

It’s also possible to eat something at the two sit-down restaurant or at the food court on the top floor.
The market is situated in Plaça de Les Glories, near Glories Centro Comercial, the DHUB Desing Museum and Torre Agbar and is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9 am to 8 pm.
